Would it be beneficial to examine the coins for rarity for someone that does not know much about coins, or just to cash them in. What are my chances of finding something of value. I have noticed many older coins from the 60’s.

YES, it would be worth examining them !! If nothing else, check the quarters… anything prior to 1965 will be SILVER instead of alloy and is worth more that 25 cents.

A few years ago I dumped out my 5 gallon water jar of change and found 42 SILVER quarters along with a number of buffalo nickels

Since you are a coin collector you are probably interested in discovering the value of your coins. Of course if you are an experience collector you already know how to find the value of your coin otherwise you should know that coins are valued according to certain conditions. If you are wondering what is the best way to go about evaluating your coin you should know that the best way would be to have a coin appraisal done by an expert in the field. Coin appraisals are essential if you want to know the real value of your coin collection.

Coin appraisals should always be performed by an expert, at least until you get the hang of it. A Good coin appraisal should inform you about the value of your different coins in your collection. The best way to go would be to have multiple coin appraisals done by different experts. The knowledge of each expert depends on is expertise in the coin collecting field. Coin appraisals are not an exact science so by having multiple done by various experts should give you excellent ideas of your coins value.

In my experience, the values of the coins you will get from those coin appraisals should be faire. For the most part these experts have been conduction coin appraisals for years and they usually have a vast knowledge of the coin grading system. They are fully aware of the various grading tactics that are usually used for different type of coins.

But I would highly suggest you gather as much information as possible about coin appraisals this would ensure in the long run that you are getting accurate information from those experts. Having as much knowledge as possible about coin appraisals would be very wise on your part, you would then be able to ascertain if you are being told of the current values of your coins according to the market. You should locate books on the matter to fully train yourself.

You should also look on the internet as there are many sources to gather information about coin appraisals. There are hundreds of site loaded with information about coin appraisals and grading techniques. Some of the information you will want to read about are the methods being used in grading the coins in collections. Being informed about the coin grading system is the best way to know if your coin appraisals are being done correctly.

The thing I would recommend the most is to have multiple coin appraisals done. You should always keep in mind that the knowledge of the expert can vary from one to another so by having multiple coin appraisals done you can have a good idea of the real value of your coin collection. Once you will have gathered as much information as possible you will be able to take a decision whether to sell or expand your collection.

I have been looking to find a new hobby. I came across coin collecting and it seems like interesting. But, I don’t know where to start?

Start by reading on the hobby through online articles, magazines, and the Red book, available at a coin shop or bookstore. If you have a coin shop in your area, meet the dealer and ask lots of collecting questions, to develop a sense of your interest. In my opinion, the best collecting area is cents; there is a rich history of cents in this country. A good source to begin collecting is a bank. Buy a few dollars worth of coins and begin a search.

We have nice little coin store here in Mansfield, and they have a nice bin of half-price foreign coins. I got hooked on collecting British Large Cents for a while, then branched out into British Silver. My kids apparently got into the box, because a lot of the loose coins (at least 50 G.B large cents included) are gone! Some of my nice shillings and half crowns have disappeared as well! But, as with the currency, it is for historical and educational value. I never expected to earn any money off of it.

A new video after a long time, mostly because I have been very busy with school and was away on holidays abroad. But expect more videos in the future, I got quite a few on my want-to-play-list =)

So here is Wind Crest ~ The Three Trails ~, again from FF X-2. I chose this song because I have already learnt it, so I was able to record it within a shorter timespan.

This song is something special. It has a dreamy, catching melody, truly telling its own story when you listen to it. And just when you think it really starts off, it ends the same way it began.

I – especially my hands – got a bit shaky near the end because I became a bit too caught up with my playing =) You might notice that. Moreover, YouTube made the audio/video a bit unsync =(

Enjoy!

HJR-192 superseded Public Law (what passes as law today is only “color of law”), replacing it with public policy. This eliminated our ability to PAY our debts, allowing only for their DISCHARGE. When we use any commercial paper (checks, drafts, warrants, federal reserve notes, etc.), & accept it as money, we simply pass the unpaid debt attached to the paper on to others, by way of our purchases & transactions. This unpaid debt, under public policy, now carries a public liability for its collection. In other words, all debt is now public.

GIVE UP YOUR GOLD & get a free pre-paid account

Note: it seems rather obvious that President Franklin D. Roosevelt was not “expressly authorized or required” to “issue an Executive Order or proclamation” demanding the public (private) to relinquish their privately held gold.

The order (proclamation) issued by Roosevelt was an undisciplined act of treason. Two months after the Executive Order, on June 5, 1933, the Senate & House of Representatives, 73d Congress, 1st session, at 4:30 p.m. approve House Joint Resolution (HJR) 192: Joint Resolution To Suspend The Gold Standard & Abrogate The Gold Clause, Joint resolution to ure uniform value to the coins & currencies of the United States.

HJR-192 states, in part, that “Every provision contained in or made with respect to any obligation which purports to give the oblige a right to require payment in gold or a particular kind of coin or currency, or in any amount of money of the United States measured thereby, is declared to be against public policy, & no such provision shall be contained in or made with respect to any obligation hereafter incurred. Every obligation, heretofore or hereafter incurred, whether or not any such provisions is contained therein or made with respect thereto, shall be discharged upon payment, dollar for dollar, in any such coin or currency which at the time of payment is legal tender for public & private debts.”

HJR-192 goes on to state: “As used in this resolution, the term ‘obligation’ means an obligation (including every obligation of & to the United States, excepting currency) payable in money of the United States; & the term ‘coin or currency’ means coin or currency of the United States, including Federal Reserve notes & circulating notes of Federal Reserve banks & national banking ociations.”

WE DID NOT AUTHORIZE IT !!!

The United States government -actually the elected & appointed administrators of government -took (& still do, to this day) certified copies of all our birth certificates & placed them in the United States Department of Commerce … as registered securities. These securities, each of which carries an estimated $1,000,000 (one million) dollar value, have been (& still are) circulated around the world as collateral for loans, entries on the et side of ledgers, etc., just like any other security. There’s just one problem, we didn’t authorize it.

&My most recent success was with a power company electric bill . The power company wanted me to pay $180.00 for a security deposit on a new account. However when I opened the acccount no mention was made and I did not agree to pay a deposit. I was sent a nasty gram saying we are going to send debt collectors and turn off your power on such and such a date if you do not pay. I immediatly “Accepted it for Value” and returned it within the three days required by Federal Truth Lending act Reg. Z . and wrote In accord with HJR 192 June 5 ,1933 you may not specify the specie in which a debt can be discharged . There were other things I put on the copy of the invoice like the set off account number and a red ink signature. But a week later I got a letter signed in Blue ink by a real man telling me he apologized for any inconvenience and my account was being credited . A complete 180 degree turn from we are turning off your power and sending debt collectors to we are sorry. I sent everything by certified mail so I have the signed green card as proof it was received. They will blow off most mail if it is not certified .
